From here you can see some of the pieces of an old mill that was used in the Uzhupud hacienda, where the Ron San Miguel factory was located. The mill with its steel maces, extracted the juice from the cane by pressure. It worked in Uzhupud between approximately 1948 and 1980. The coat of arms of San Miguel is a symbol of the history of Licores San Miguel. Engraved at the bottom is the phrase: “Da Robvr fer avxilivm”, which means “Give strength and give aid”, an invocation that refers to the gifts that Archangel Saint Michael grants as intercessor of God on earth.
